TNT Dominates Again: Second Consecutive Governors' Cup Crown
Sports - TNT Tropang Giga claimed its second consecutive PBA Governors' Cup title, defeating Barangay Ginebra 95-85 in Game 6 of the finals on Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Jayson Castro earned Finals MVP with series averages of 10.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.0 rebounds.
“It took total belief and trust in our process, and all our hard work paid off,” said Hollis-Jefferson, who scored 10 of his 31 points in the final quarter to lead TNT's strong finish.
“We got the championship,” added RHJ, supported by Castro (13 points, 6 assists), Pogoy (13), Nambatac (12), and Oftana (8).
“Credit to Coach Tim Cone and Ginebra—they were worthy opponents. But our players refused to lose,” said Reyes. “It was a great championship, and now we move on to the next one.”
Reyes claimed his 10th PBA title, defeating his friend Tim Cone in a tough series. Previously, he was a consultant when TNT beat Ginebra in April 2023.
