Philippines – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) have issued a joint advisory cautioning the public about the potential risks associated with the use of AI-powered chatbots. They emphasize the importance of safeguarding personal information and being aware of the limitations and dangers these technologies may present.

Protect Personal Information: Avoid sharing sensitive data such as passwords, financial details, or personal identifiers with AI chatbots. These platforms are not designed to securely handle confidential information and may inadvertently store or misuse it.
